Dual Credit Programming

What is Dual Credit?

Dual credit allows high school students to earn credits in high school and college at the same time.

Olds College and Chinook's Edge have offered dual credit by using CTS and college credit in welding, equine, carpentry, machining, fashion and landscape construction on-site, online, and in blended environments.

Who is eligible?

Grade 11 and 12 students are eligible for dual credit.

Students need to be prepared for the expectations and rigors of a post-secondary course.

Students interested in participating must be approved by their high school. Students then complete an application package, including a responsibility agreement and a written statement of intent.
