Penhold Crossing student enjoying opportunity to learn more about animal health in dual credit course
Meet Haley Morris, a Grade 10 student attending Penhold Crossing School. She is enrolled in dual credit AHT1050, The Veterinary Profession.
Morris has been wanting to be a Vet since she was in Grade 1. She likes to work with animals, and hopes to volunteer at a veterinary clinic to assist with injured animals.
Morris enrolled in the dual credit course as she hopes to complete the Veterinary Technician Assistant course prior to high school graduation and then possibly pursue the Veterinarian Technology Diploma Program. Her end goal is to pursue Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.
Morris has owned her share of animals including two dogs, two rabbits, three cats, a horse and a goat. She hopes to use the dual credit course as a stepping stone and looks forward to learning about the different types of professions centered on animals and animal clinics.
